Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control costs to meet budget targets.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and management for promotions and events.
  • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
  • Create and update cocktail menus, develop signature drinks, and ensure quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, and bar supplies.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related field (preferred).
  • 3–8 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverages, cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Tamil.
  • Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service practices.
  • Certifications in bartending or beverage management are a plus.
