Role Overview
This opening is for chemistry teacher jobs in Gadag-betigeri for Matriculation school. The chemistry teacher will handle chemistry for high school and higher secondary classes under the Karnataka Matriculation syllabus.
As a chemistry teacher in Matriculation school, you will explain basic and advanced chemistry concepts, conduct simple and detailed experiments and help students prepare well for Matriculation board exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach chemistry lessons for classes 9 to 12 as per Matriculation school syllabus and academic plan.
- Prepare lesson plans, notes, diagrams and question papers suitable for Matriculation chemistry students.
- Conduct chemistry practical classes in the laboratory, demonstrate experiments and ensure proper lab safety for students.
- Cover important topics such as atomic structure, periodic table, bonding, acids and bases, organic chemistry and numerical problems in a simple way.
- Give class tests, revision tests and model exams to improve performance in school and public exams.
- Correct answer papers, maintain mark registers and give feedback to students for improvement.
- Maintain class discipline, check notebooks and assignments and coordinate with parents when needed.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry with B.Ed, preferably with Matriculation school chemistry teaching experience.
- Good understanding of Karnataka Matriculation chemistry syllabus and latest exam pattern.
- Ability to explain chemistry concepts clearly with board work, diagrams and simple language in English and local language.
- Interest in guiding students, clarifying doubts and helping them score good marks in chemistry.
