Role Overview

Darbhanga's position within Bihar's growing food processing, retail, and government services sector has drawn a range of employers actively seeking qualified Ambulance Driver talent.

This role requires calmness under pressure, knowledge of Darbhanga roads and traffic patterns, and a valid LMV/HMV driving license with a clean record. Both experienced drivers and freshers with proper licensing can apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the ambulance is clean, sanitized, and fully fueled at all times.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks: engine, lights, siren, AC, oxygen cylinder availability, and medical equipment.
  • Maintain logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
  • Communicate with dispatch center and hospital staff for smooth coordination.
  • Handle stressful situations with calmness and prioritize patient safety.
  • Drive ambulance safely and swiftly to emergency sites and hospitals following traffic rules.
  • Assist paramedics in loading/unloading patients and providing basic first aid support if needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) license; HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) license preferred.
  • 10th / 12th pass; basic reading/writing skills in Tamil and English.
  • 0–5 years of driving experience (freshers with valid license can apply).
  • Good knowledge of Darbhanga roads, hospitals, and traffic patterns.
  • Physically fit and able to assist in lifting patients when required.
  • No major traffic violations / accidents in the past.
  • Willing to work in 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.

Training Provided

  • Defensive driving techniques for emergency vehicles.
  • Basic life support (BLS) and first aid training.
  • Use of ambulance equipment: stretcher, oxygen cylinder, suction machine.
  • Communication protocols with emergency dispatch.
