About the Deputy Manager – Area Sales Role
Telecom Company in Tirupati are hiring Deputy Managers for Area Sales to support the Area Sales Manager, independently manage sub-territories, lead larger field sales teams and drive quarterly revenue targets.
Candidates with 5+ years in telecom or broadband sales including proven experience in managing multiple ASEs, handling large channel ecosystems and driving subscriber growth across Tirupati zones are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Territory Management
Independently manage assigned sub-territories within the Tirupati area; plan and execute sales activities to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
- Team Leadership & Development
Lead a team of 10-20 Sales Executives and ASEs; conduct daily reviews, field accompaniment and monthly performance appraisals.
- Channel & Dealer Network
Build and manage a strong dealer, retailer and LCO network across the territory; design and implement incentive schemes for channel growth.
- Strategic Planning
Analyse sales data, identify weak zones and design targeted campaigns to improve subscriber acquisition rates and revenue per area.
- Stakeholder Reporting
Present detailed weekly and monthly area sales performance reports to the Area Sales Manager and regional leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
Any degree from a recognised university; MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred for deputy manager level roles in telecom.
- Experience
5-12 years in telecom or broadband sales, with at least 3 years managing a team and territory at ASM or similar level.
- Leadership Skills
Strong leadership, team development and performance management skills with the ability to handle a large distributed field team.
- Analytical Ability
Proficiency in sales data analysis using Excel; ability to identify trends, gaps and opportunities in the area performance data.
